SUCCESS!!!
We have LIFTOFF!  The grass has been planted.

Yesterday (Thursday March 26, 0226) went well.  We bought 250lbs of seed and used 240lbs.  This enabled us to seed in two directions and it took about 41/2 hours.  We had lots of help.  THANK YOU.

Rick McCarty and Dave Creamer are planning to put down fertilizer using Dave's spreader.
Here's Grass Rejuvenator Tom using the Big-Boy tractor that was necessary to run the seeder. Notice the intense concentration.

Here we have the guys encouraging Tom. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!

Here's our progress:
1.  Dethatching Hard Work --
DONE!!!
2. Slice Seeding with a BIG tractor and 250lbs of seed --
DONE!!!
3. Putting down fertilizer in order to help the young grass develop and flourish --
IN PROGRESS!!!
4. May/June there will be an application of a liquid herbicide to control some pesky weeds to allow a better environment for the growing grass.
5. July we will apply a liquid pesticide to hopefully remove the grub issue that was part of our current problem.
6. November/December, we may need to add an over-seed of grass seed to help fill-in and thicken the current stand of grass.
Holy Cow!  What a GREAT club we have!  Thank you to everyone who helped and donated.  And THANK YOU to Tom for organizing and executing the whole shebang.  Miami R/C is alive and well and FLOURISHING!
What a great season we have in front of us!  I look forward to flying with you soon!
